3M 90702 Superabsorber Dressing is a primary or secondary dressing and can be used in combination with other 3M wound fillers and cover dressings. Deep wounds require the use of wound filler. This dressing can also be secured using different 3M medical tapes.
High fluid absorption is curial to help prevent wound maceration as well as reducing the frequency of wound dressing changes. The 3 7/8 x 7 7/8 Inch Superabsorber Dressing rapidly wicks away and absorbs exudate to protect the margin of the wound from maceration. The polymers within the core allow the dressing to retain fluid even under compression making this an ideal dressing for Venous Ulcers where a physician has recommended the use of compression therapy.
