OASIS Wound Matrix Product Overview
The Smith and Nephew OASIS Wound Matrix is a three-dimensional extracellular matrix that promotes healing and cell migration through the management of wounds. Caregivers and patients can use the single-layered sheets of OASIS to care for cleaned injuries because it is compatible with human skin. This device has a variety of uses and indications.
This extracellular matrix is "a structural support network made up of diverse proteins, sugars, and other components"1, according to the study 'The extracellular matrix: Structure, composition, age-related differences, tools for analysis and applications for tissue engineering.' This matrix may be used to speed the rate of healing, reduce the incidence of ulcer reoccurrence, and promote the complete closure of chronic leg ulcers, according to the study "Effectiveness of an extracellular matrix graft."2
