RESPeRATE Deluxe Duo Device Overview
Who Uses the RESPeRATE Deluxe Duo? This therapeutic breathing device is used by individuals who are treated for hypertension or want to reduce stress and anxiety.
Why They Love This Product: Therapy is relaxing and easy to set up and use, even in the dark due to its backlit LCD screen. The earbuds take out any background distraction and provide a guided interactive tutorial that's based on the body's natural tendency to follow musical rhythms. A personalized melody is created to slow down breathing and it is saved for ongoing therapy. The deluxe model saves customized breathing therapy plans for up to two users.
The Deluxe Duo is a patented medical device that uses guided breathing technology to offer a drug-free and noninvasive approach to reducing high blood pressure. It's FDA-approved and uses clinically-proven breathing patterns designed to slow down the breath for relaxing and opening up constricted blood vessels to naturally lower blood pressure.1 Using the RESPeRATE Interactive Modulation Therapy Technology, the sensor analyzes the user's breathing pattern in its interactive tutorial and creates a personalized melody for each user. The tutorial is easy to follow since it uses the body's natural tendency to follow external musical rhythms. Clinical results show improvements in hypertension when used for 15 minutes a few times a week.2
The Deluxe Duo model includes all of the benefits of the RESPeRATE Ultra with improved memory to track the progress of two people on one device. This capability means that two users can take turns and store their breathing data for ongoing therapy. The LCD screen is also noticeably different from the Ultra, featuring a deluxe backlight screen for easier use in the dark or when lighting conditions are not ideal, especially when therapy users want to listen in a dark environment.

How it Works
Controlling the breath may seem easy; however, effortless therapeutic breathing is not the same and requires years of training and individualized coaching. That is where RESPeRATE comes in. RESPeRATE Deluxe is a computerized unit that takes the place of a breathing coach. Using its proven and patented Interactive Respiratory Modulation Therapy Technology, the device taps into the body's natural tendency to follow external musical rhythms. Its sensor automatically analyzes the user's breathing pattern, and an embedded interactive tutorial creates a personalized melody for each user. Therapy users simply listen to the melody, synchronizing their breathing to the two distinct inhale and exhale guiding tones. The prolonged exhalation slows their breathing to reach the therapeutic zone of fewer than ten breaths per minute.
While breathing will return to normal after each session, the beneficial impact on blood pressure is cumulative. RESPeRATE lowers blood pressure, achieving measurable and sustainable results when completing the advised therapy plan of 15-minute sessions three times a week.
