Promote Very-High Protein Nutrition

Promote is a Medical Food that provides a complete and balanced Nutrition Formula for adults. Promote is a very high protein formula developed for patients needing lower calories and higher protein to ward off pressure ulcers. This rich formula also is ideal for patients at risk for protein-energy malnutrition. High protein supports lean body mass and wound healing and therefore there is a higher proportion of calories from protein than from other sources.

The formula is also rich in nutrients with 24 essential vitamins and minerals. The fat blend assists with vitamin absorption and contains safflower, soy oils, soy lecithin and MTC medium-chain triglycerides for better absorption. This structure helps patients having difficulty absorbing lipids.

Promote Very-High-Protein formula does not contain fiber and is available in 8 ounce tetra cartons in vanilla flavor for oral feeding or unflavored 1000 mL and 1500 mL ready-to-hand bottles for tube feeding. It may be used for supplemental nutrition or as sole-source nutrition. Manufactured by Abbott Nutrition, Promote should be used under medical supervision.
