A: The DreamWear headgear has been enhanced to reduce slippage and improve the overall stability of the mask.
Q: How can this headgear be cleaned?
A: Remove the headgear, cushion, and swivel. The frame is a single tube that can be cleaned the same way the short tubing on other masks or CPAP tubing is cleaned. Wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse through the swivel connection. Set to dry and if there happens to be any remaining moisture in the tube before therapy is started, connect it to the CPAP with pressure to remove it.
Q: Is there a sizing guage included?
A: The sizing gauge is included with the mask in the bag and is part of the Quick Start Guide that is attached to the mask on the elbow.
Q: How does one avoid leakage?
A: This comes with various sizes. With the perfect fit, there should not be a leakage problem. If the user is experiencing leakage, try a smaller frame and/or cushion size. If this does not work, contact customer support.
Q: How can the headgear be applied correctly?
A: For easy orientation, note the L and R symbols on the arms. Loop the tab with the L symbol through the left side loop on the frame and R on the right side. Once correctly assembled the L and R symbols will face outwards, the DreamWear logo on the fabric will be on the right, and Philips Respironics logo will be on the back of the headgear.
