Hydrofera Blue Classic Overview
The Hydrofera Blue Classic Antibacterial Foam Dressing is an absorbent polyvinyl alcohol foam dressing designed to assist with the healing of exuding wounds. It wicks away exudate, slough, and debris that contain harmful bacteria, reducing bioburden that poses an obstacle to healing. In addition to absorbing harmful substances, the dressing provides a moist and protective environment to encourage the wound to heal. The foam contains Methylene Blue and Gentian Violet, which provides a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect that is effective against a variety of harmful bacteria and yeasts. The dressing does not contain silver.
Safe and Efficient Wound Care
Stellar wicking. The Hydrofera Blue Antibacterial Foam Dressing wicks wound exudate into the foam and keeps it away from healing tissue.
Edge effect. Wound edges that have rolled or curled under improve and are resolved with use of the Classic Hydrofera Blue Dressing.
Autolytic Debridement. The dressing removes necrotic and devitalized tissue from wounds using the body's own enzymatic mechanisms. Removal of these tissues facilitates healing that the tissues would otherwise impede.1
