Who Uses Exufiber Ag+ Antimicrobial Dressing? Healthcare providers and patients use this dressing under the direction of a medical professional to treat deep and chronic wounds with moderate to heavy exudate, including leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and more.
Why They Love It: The dressing has a higher absorbency than many other types of bandages with silver sulfate, giving the ability to kill a range of bacteria, fungi, and other pathogens that would otherwise cause infection and slow down healing. The ribbon dressings are ideal for wound packing without sticking to the wound bed.
Molnlycke Exufiber Ag+ Dressing Overview
Exufiber Ag Plus Dressing kills a broad range of pathogens and microbial threats such as bacteria and fungus to ward off infection to deep and chronic wounds. It is designed especially for moderate to highly exuding wounds. When wet, the dressing fibers quickly change into a gel, keeping the wound moist while also providing padded protection while simultaneously killing off harmful pathogens. The fibers maintain the gel to prevent leakage and maceration. Not only does it absorb large amounts of exudate, but it also draws drainage away from the wound, allowing it to continue healing. When it’s time to replace it, the dressing removes easily and brings with it any unwanted debris.
Vitality Medical offers several types of absorbent dressings and other wound dressings. Start healing with Exufiber Ag+ Dressing today!

Exufiber vs Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC)
Many other dressings use a material called carboxymethylcellulose to promote exudate absorption. Exufiber takes it a step further by using a nonwoven gelling fiber that draws the absorbed fluid away from the wound, thus allowing the bandage to absorb additional exudate, blood, and bacteria for superior fluid retention.
Warnings
