Dynarex Zinc Oxide Ointment Overview
Dynarex Zinc Oxide Ointment is a multipurpose, 25 percent zinc oxide first aid topical cream that reduces skin irritation and itching, assists with the healing of small wounds, and helps prevent chafing and diaper rash. Due to its ability to both soothe the skin and prevent itching, this product is a great option for users with insect bites or who have come into contact with poisonous plants, such as poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. It also helps terminate oozing that may arise from rashes caused by poisonous plants. In addition, it can be used for wound care. Uses include minor cuts, abrasions, and burns for sting relief, bacteria reduction, and to prevent infection. A common remedy for diaper rash, this ointment helps soothe irritated and chafed skin. It can also be used for allergy-related rashes, among other minor skin irritations. In all of these cases, this ointment helps create a protective barrier to prevent the entrance of moisture and obstruct clothing and other objects that might chafe the wounded area. For all of these reasons, zinc oxide helps both effectively heal wounds and prevent new wounds from forming. This product has a smooth texture and is easy to apply.
