Adapters: Adapters are simple additions to your breathing or respiratory therapy items. Many connect to machines that provide oxygen, something like an oxygen concentrator. Teleflex Medical's nipple and nut adapter is able to attach to oxygen concentrators in order to deliver oxygen, which improves the machine's usage and the patient's overall health.

Connection Types: Many connectors available also come in different forms. From straight to elbow to swivel and more, there's a connector that will work for all your needs. A flex connector is able to attach to a ventilation area and has the ability to bend in order to fit the needs of the person. A swivel connector allows you to move around while eliminating any twisting, tying or otherwise bunching of your oxygen tubing.

Number of Ports: Some connectors have an extra port attached in order to perform multiple tasks. Many contain a connection area and multiple ports with differing diameters. Each diameter difference is able to serve a separate need if necessary. Items such as the Allegiance U/Adapt-It Disposable Straight Connectors have a thermometer port.

Connectors, while they look simple, have enough of a difference between them to make a big difference in your oxygen needs.
