The Assura Pediatric Barrier 2 Piece, manufactured by Coloplast, is a combination of a smaller sized barrier designed for children and the Assura spiral adhesive and a 2-piece mechanical coupling system that uses an audible "click" for extra reassurance that the pouch is locked securely to the barrier. Before the pouch is locked in, it can be rotated to the desired angle to accommodate whichever position is most comfortable whether its standing, lying down or during emptying without having to remove the pouch from the barrier. The coupling angle can also be adjusted for left or right handers for added convenience. The pouch can be removed separately from the barrier to allow more frequent changing of pouch versus the barrier.
Assura Pediatric baseplates are small, flat and child-friendly in size and may be combined with pediatric-sized pouches and can also be used with adult-sized "green" SenSura or Assura pouches to make sure you can find a solution that works.
