Clog Zapper Instructions

NG and J-Tube Use

1. Turn the Enteral Feeding pump off. Locate the administration set's close roller clamp and close it. Attach the clog zapper applicator to the enteral feeding pump set.
2. Fill the clog zapper formula syringe to the 10 cc line with water (7.1 cc)
3. Shake the syringe to get rid of any lumps.
4. Use the syringe to fill the NG or j-tube with 2-6 cc of clog zapper formula.
5. Remove the applicator from the tubing. In case these steps must be taken again for a second round of tube clearing, keep the applicator and syringe nearby.
6. Wait 60 minutes (30 minutes minimum).
7. Fill the syringe again completely with water.
8. Flush the NG or j-tube out.
9. If the tubing is still not clear, repeat steps 4 - 8. Check with your physician to see how many times this clearing process can be repeated.
10. Once the tubing is clear, dispose of the syringes according to your facility's protocol. Resume feeding.

G-Tube Use

1. Cut the applicator at the dot.
2. Dispose of any excess tubing.
3. Locate the g-tube's administration set port and connect the Clog Zapper applicator.
4. Follow the NG and j-tube instructions listed above.

Low-Profile Device Use

1. After reviewing your low profile device's manufacturer's instructions, place the feeding set in the low-profile device.
2. Place the applicator into the feeding set.
3. Follow the NG and j-tube instructions listed above.

How to Properly Store

• Once water is added, this product should be used within 24 hours.
• When the formula is not in use, it must be refrigerated
