Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is a portable, compact, non-invasive tool to determine the amount of oxygen in the body. It attaches painlessly to a fingertip and sends two wavelengths of light through the finger to measure pulse rate and oxygen levels. The high brightness LED display shows results and can change orientation from vertical to horizontal with each push of the power button. Suitable for both adult and pediatric use, it is sturdy enough for hospitals and clinics, as well as for in-home patients. It is excellent for non-invasive spot checks of blood oxygen levels. However, it is not for continuous monitoring. The package includes the Oximeter, a lanyard, two AAA batteries, and an illustrated instruction guide. Built solidly, the pulse oximeter does not require routine calibration or maintenance other than occasional battery replacement. It is easy to maintain and clean. Before and after each use, wipe down the silicone area that fingers touch inside the unit with 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol).
