Adaptic Touch Non-Adhering Dressing (Systagenix 500502) is a primary wound contact layer designed for the management of dry to heavily exuding, partial and full-thickness chronic wounds. This flexible, open mesh dressing is made from cellulose acetate and coated with a soft tack silicone. The soft tack silicone coating prevents the secondary dressing from sticking to the wound and causing tissue damage or pain upon removal. The open mesh design of Adaptic Touch 3 X 4.25 Inch Non-Adhering Silicone Dressing allows exudate to pass freely through the top dressing and absorb into the secondary dressing, reducing the risk of exudate pooling and maceration. This Non-adherent dressing is safe to leave on the wound for several days depending on the amount of exudate passing into the dressing.
A series of international case studies showed that Adaptic Touch dressing is an excellent alternative to traditional wound contact layers under V.A.C Therapy to protect fragile wound structures and benefit patients with a range of wound types. Clinicians reported that the dressings were easy to remove, did not adhere to the wound, and did not cause the patient pain when removed. This product is suitable for use with negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) when under medical supervision.
