Overview
The Stratus 5 Oxygen Concentrator is specifically designed to provide additional oxygen for individuals who require oxygen therapy on a daily basis. It works by extracting concentrated oxygen from the surrounding air in a room and delivers it at a low-flow rate.
The concentrated oxygen generated by the Stratus 5 Stationary Oxygen Concentrator utilizes a process called pressure swing adsorption and a molecular sieve.
The Stratus 5 Oxygen Concentrator (3B Medical STR1005) includes a band that securely holds the humidifier bottle in place on the device. Additionally, it is equipped with a flow meter that displays the rate of oxygen in liters per minute that is being delivered from the outlet port.
The Stratus 5 Concentrator is equipped with a power switch that displays clear indicators: "I" shows that the device is currently in operation, while "O" means that oxygen is no longer being supplied. Its design includes a special intake filter that safeguards the user by preventing dust particles from entering the concentrator. Additionally, this oxygen system is conveniently equipped with a filter access panel, making it easy to clean and maintain.

How to Maintain and Clean Your Device
Vitality Medical provides a range of replacement filters, such as Hepa, sponge, and bacterial filters, to ensure the proper functioning of the concentrator. It is recommended to clean the sponge filter at least once a week to maintain pure airflow. If the environmental conditions are unfavorable, more frequent cleaning is advised.
- Take off the intake cover and sponge mesh filter.
- Wash the sponge with clean water and let it dry naturally.
- Once the sponge is dry, reinsert it into the device and reattach the cover.
